9 months old!

I've been slacking. Cole has been 9 months for just over a week, and I am just now sharing his stats-sorry guys, I'll try to do better next time. To be fair, his wellness appointment wasn't until last Thursday, so technically I just enjoyed a really long weekend before updating everyone. Yeah, we'll go with that.

At 9 months old, Coleden wanted me to let you know that he:
  • is 22 pounds 6 ounces, 28.9 inches long, 18 inch head circumference
  • stands up and walks along his crib or play pin (with help from the rails)
  • dances like a mad man (he shakes his head anytime there's music playing)
  • now has 5 teeth and is working on the 6th
  • has A LOT of hair that makes him look like a mad scientist
  • loves bananas in any form, except from the jar (I can't say I blame him, have you smelled bananas from the jar-yuck)
  • thinks scaring and chasing Nessa is the funniest thing in the world
  • is super ticklish, especially under his ribs and anywhere on his neck
  • was sleeping through the night, until these pesky teeth started coming in, now he wakes up a couple of times in the night (darn it!)
  • likes it when Dr. Seuss is read to him (happy belated birthday Dr. Seuss), the "ABC" book and "The Foot Book" are his faves
In celebration, we took a little road trip to the Luxembourg Aquarium. Okay, really we just wanted to go, but it just so happened to be the weekend before Cole turned 9 months old. Win-win. Come to find out, it took us longer to drive to the aquarium than it did to actually walk through the whole thing. For all of my Omaha peeps, it was no where close to being like the Henry Doorly Zoo, it was about the size of one of the penguin rooms (and I mean it was the size of the actual penguin tank). To anyone else, it was very small. Fun, but very small.
