This morning I had to make my way to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC) to fill a prescription. For those of you that are reading this that live in the area, if you are given the choice between Ramstein Clinic's pharmacy and LRMC's, always, ALWAYS choose LRMC. I don't care if you are at Ramstein, still have it sent to LRMC, you'll still get it faster.
I walked in to a packed waiting room, thought "this is going to take forever," then had my number called and Rx filled within 5 minutes. If I was at Ramstein I would have had my number called 45 minutes later and that's just to let them know I'm there for some meds. I would then have to wait another 20-30 minutes for my name to be called again to actually pick up my meds, and that's for a decently empty waiting room. Get it together Ramstein, LRMC is kicking your butt.
As I was walking back to my car, I had to walk past the emergency room entrance where a number of news trucks were parked on the side of the road. Okay, I get that everyone wants to get the scoop on Bergdahl, but seriously, there is a parking lot 50 feet away, don't block the street at an intersection. Goons.
You'd think by the tone of this post I'm in a bad mood or something, but I swear today has been a pretty good day, especially since I just found out this Friday is National Doughnut Day. How can you not be happy after hearing that?!

Benedict Cumberbatch is my spirt animal
^Nailed it. Cole looks about as pleased as Bono.
Don't worry, Tom Hiddleston, you're still my favorite boy Brit (Kate Middleton being my female favorite, if you wanted to know), there's just something about Ben that speaks (beautifully) to my soul. I feel like I'm able to fully embrace my gullibility because of this man.
If only I had a cool British accent...

Spit it out already!
Does anyone else have dreams that seem so real you have to think it through as to whether or not it actually happened? Every couple of months I have this dream where I wake up, get dressed, have breakfast, and brush my teeth. Not that weird right? When I wake up in real life I find that I've spit all over my arm. You know, like when you spit your toothpaste in the sink. I always wake up right after that part. Kinda weird right? I don't know what a dream expert would make of it, but I'll take spitting on my arm over peeing the bed thinking I'm in the bathroom any day of the week (when I read this to Josh he said he appreciates this very much haha).
So that about covers my MLK day, how about you guys?! Oh and a happy birthday to my mama. I love you Lady!

This could be the pregnancy talking, or just random thoughts
Josh is working nights for the rest of the week, so I had a little extra time on my hands to do some pondering and this is what I came up with:
I really enjoy the show Reba, I forgot how funny it is!
This is exciting, at least to me, I think I’m starting to get a baby bump!!! As a result, my pants aren’t fitting the way they should, and I’m not quite ready for maternity pants. Thank God for sweatpants!!!
Crunch Berries are amazing; I can’t get enough of them!
German toilets are weird, they have a stop nozzle, and no matter where you go the flusher on every toilet is different. Some toilets are even self-cleaning!
I kid you not the big button is for "heavier things" and the small button is for "lighter things." All so you don't waste water. |
I can’t wait until we move into our new home next week.
1. Because I want my clothes (that will still fit) back
2. My bed, my oh-so-comfortable bed
3. I’m ready for space that this hotel room is lacking
4. This room doesn’t have a bathtub, and I’d like to take a nice bath
Crangrape is my favorite juice!
I loved the movie Juno before I was pregnant and now it has a whole new meaning and appreciation for me!
Ice water has never tasted better to me!
Thanks Mom for the boots you bought me when we were home they have become the most comfortable pair of shoes I own currently!
I learned that if you ask a German how they are doing, they will tell you…in detail so don’t ask if you don’t really care but if they ask you feel free to tell them exactly what’s on your mind
On a similar note, I found out that if you are one of those people who like to block the aisle by standing in the middle or talking to someone else therefore blocking the way completely, a German is likely to GROWL at you and if that doesn’t work they will push past you and you will receive the stink eye as they go by. Beware, just beware!
I’m obsessed with looking at baby names, so many options!
I watched a professional bocce ball tournament on Euro Sports, it was intense!
I can’t wait to have American outlets again! At least that’s in the near future, gotta love base housing!!!
Well that’s pretty much it for me today, who knows what I’ll post tomorrow! Have a great day everyone!

Something a little different...
So, instead of any catching up (because there's nothing, sorry to say I'm living a boring life as of late), I thought I might try something new.
I decided when Josh went to basic that I wasn't going to be the kind of wife that sits around while my husband is constantly exercising, which was easy to do in a tiny apartment that required little attention. Now, we live in this beautiful house, courtesy of the Air Force, and it requires a lot of work! I don't mind the housework, it gives me something to do but I don't feel it gives me the proper amount physical activity I am requiring.
As my husband would say, "here's the deal," I hate running, plus we're at approximately 100 degrees with the heat index down here in good ole Mississippi, I don't want to have a heat stroke trying to get in shape-it seems a little counterproductive.
I've heard so many great things about yoga and pilates, that I thought I'd give it a shot and I really like yoga, but my left wrist for whatever reason has been aching lately (I don't know if its the humidity down here or what) and I'm wondering if I should consider wearing a brace to make it feel better, and lay off the yoga until I'm better healed.
Anyway, that was just my thought for the day...
