Baby Boy Trout 2.0
As promised an update on this precious baby boy growing inside me. Josh and I are 98% sure we've got a name picked out, but just like with Cole, you'll have to wait until he is born. We like secrets around here!
I am feeling pretty good, still on the mend from being sick a couple of weeks ago, but getting better every day. I've also reached that point in pregnancy where I have to mentally count down to put pants on. I didn't reach that point until closer to 30 weeks with Cole, it seems my bump is progressing a lot faster this time.
We had a baby appointment this past week and everything is chugging along as it should be. I have to say, I absolutely love our doctor. On our first visit, she patiently answered all of my questions, and there were at least 4 pages worth! The only thing that stinks is we have to drive an hour to get to her office. At least it's a scenic drive through desert and mountains!
I've begun sketching for the baby's nursery. I think we're going to do a DC Comics room for our newest member. Cole's Marvel Comics paintings turned out so well, it only seemed natural to take on DC Comics next.
Now that Christmas is over, we can really start to focus on getting the baby's room together, we had been using it as a wrapping room. It's time to start turning it into a proper nursery!

Big News!!!
Hello friends, it's been a while, we have a little catching up to do. First of all, Josh, Coleden, Nessa, and I have made the long journey from Germany to Washington D.C. to Omaha. We have been enjoying being back in our hometown so much I haven't really taken any photos since we left Germany.
We went site seeing in D.C. with Babe and Pocker, Cole got to show his dad around, since Josh had never been to our nation's capital. Now that we're in Omaha, we've hit the Henry Doorly Zoo, Lincoln Children's Museum, and spent some quality time with family and friends.
I guess I should also mention our little family has some big news:
More soon!

Snips and Snails...
Josh and I were convinced that we were having a girl, and at first I was shocked, but I am so happy that he is healthy and growing rapidly! I might also add, our child had no problem whatsoever showing his goods, but when it came to seeing his face he was being so stubborn; I think he takes after his dad!
Now that we know we are having a precious boy, Josh and I will be working to get our son’s nursery in order and hopefully get a few items added to our registry! Can’t wait to start shopping for this kid!!!

We're having a baby!
If you haven’t heard yet, we’re PREGNANT!!! In an attempt to get everyone up to speed at the same time here goes nothing!
Let’s start with the technicalities; I am 10 weeks along. We are due May 27, 2012. We found out when we were visiting everyone back home! I’m doing pretty well, no morning sickness or nausea (thank goodness!), besides having to use the restroom every 5 minutes; the only other symptom I’ve really experienced is fatigue. I’ve had a few food aversions nothing too dramatic.
Because I hadn’t been experiencing any of the “normal” pregnancy behaviors I had pretty much convinced myself that I was having a hysterical pregnancy, and thanks to yesterday’s appointment I’m happy to say our baby is right on track and doing well!
While we were back home visiting, I went and visited my Kids Network kids and staff, and one of the more unusual children from the program came up and gave me a hug, then took a step away from me staring at my stomach and asked me if there was a baby in there! I didn’t know at the time so I just said no I had a big lunch (which was true) and he looked at my stomach again and asked me if I was sure. Wow, out of the mouths of babes…
We found out a few days later, but I will never forget that one of my Morton kids had guessed my pregnancy before I even knew!
As for gender preferences, I think we both are stubbornly hoping for a girl, since all of our friends from Keesler are having Biloxi Boys and we just want try something new, but really we will just be happy with a healthy baby!
I think that’s about it, thank you to everyone for your well wishes, if I have forgotten anything leave me a comment or Facebook me! I can’t wait to see how this adventure plays out!
